More like a superior tablet than a phone - the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 isn´t to be confused with the current Galaxy Note and the recently announced Galaxy Note 2. Instead, think of a Samsung Tab 10.1 that is heavy on creative-editing with the use of a stylus and has call capabilities.

Thats only putting it lightly as the Note 10.1 is built stronger and needs the larger, 10.1 inch with 1280x800 resolution screen for good reasons: it makes picture editing and note taking so much easier.

Maybe there is just an irreplaceable feeling when it comes using a pen for drawing or writing than to use your own fingers because what really sells the Note experience is the option to use the custom S Pen stylus that comes with it, the line-ups novelty.

The combination of the S Pen, its 1.4 GHz quad core processor with 2GB RAM and Adobe Photoshop Touch really gave us a sense of active picture interaction given how responsive the interface is. Picture editing is so much more precise and natural. Did we mention about the large screen having to do with this as well?

The Note 10.1 is an amazing tool for note taking and picture editing. So far from what we can tell nothing comes close to the experience offered.

With what little time we had with the Note 10.1, we noted some other key highlights of the Note 10.1:

- Has multiscreen capability, allowing users the access to more than one application or window at a time on-screen.

- The S-Pen and S-Note enhances the note taking experience comparable to that of your standard pen and paper with auto-correct features.

- The Note 10.1 comes with an Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) operating system, upgradable to Jellybean when made available.
