The Gamer comes with an Intel Core i7 Quad Core processor, has Dolby Home Theatre V4 audio system and a 2012 nVidia GTX 675M graphic card to make full use of its 17.3" SuperBright Plus 400nit - 120Hz - LCD display.

Unique to the Gamer is a built-in dial on the top right end of the notebook that lets users switch between four modes:

i) Gaming - optimises performance for full-fledge gaming

iii) Library - quiet mode by reducing fan noise while reducing or disabling sound and light

iv) Green - consumes less battery power for longer-lasting usage

By switching to Gaming mode, the Gamer´s backlit keyboard turns blue while highlighting keys WASD in red. The Windows key and touchpad will also be disabled when in this mode.

Equipped with Express Cache technology, Samsung says the Gamer takes 26 seconds to boot up.
